"Black Awakening was formed in 2012 in the swamps of south Louisiana. Keeping themselves shrouded in a cloud of smoke and isolated from the world, Black Awakening fuse together their own form of blackened doom, bringing their listeners on a voyage through satanism and the occult. With their crust filled riffs and snail paced rhythms, Black Awakening have already begun to carve out their own space in the doom genre. The band recently relocated to the northern U.S. to further spread their unique blend of black doom to the masses. Their debut album entitled 'Cult of the Dying God' is currently in production and is slated for a summer 2013 release on Domestic Genocide Records."
