 Necroist - Representations

Necroist (Poland) - Representations (EP 2012)

BLACK METAL

EP 2012
Label: Necropulsar Productions

EP compiled for promotional purposes.

Trinity of Necroism:

Chapter I - Meridian Gates
Chapter II - Twin Serpents
Chapter III - To this Ancient Rift We Sail

"NECROIST was formed in early 2011 by two members of EMPHERIS, Empherion and Nymphobh. After EMPHERIS’ recording session for split release “We Are the Ancients”, they have decided that the difference between EMPHERIS ordinary style and direction aimed upon that particular session, needs to be continued instead being only one time experiment.
As for that EMPHERIS session, Imp was the person responsible for drum recording at the time, so it was natural that they asked him to put additional drums for the new project which few moments later became known as NECROIST. Since the beginning it was obvious that the material recorded on that additional session will become a part of “We Are the Ancients” split CD, but the band decided also to additionally release in 2012 promotional EP named “Representations” due to very representative final result of their creation and lot of positive feedback from various persons. Promo EP contains slight different mix of the track which is available upon the earlier mentioned 5-way split CD.
NECROIST derives its inspirations from wide range of music and non-music influences. It sounds like a scream of Elvis Presley in the deepest quadrants of beyond the space and time…
Lyrical themes are mix of various necrocosmic patterns and ideas as well as polish marine literature especially delivered by such giant like Karol Olgierd Borchardt.
NECROIST’s specific music iconography lies deep in the basements of such metal monsters as: Bathory, Ulver, Hirilorn, Glorior Belli, Satyricon… as well as classic legends of sound like: Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Jefferson’s Airplane, The Animals, Bobby Fuller Four, Zager & Evans and many more...
It all emerges majestically but not suddenly as band’s discography grows in progress…"
