BIOGRAPHY

"After working on a Dark Ambient project named Instant Pyrolysis between 2010 and 2012, I, Valenten, decided to move onwards to new musical horizons, in order give birth to more structured songs.

Askrinn, which means The Ashtree in Old Norse (like Yggdrasil) is a Black Metal band from France, dealing with Runic esoterism and forgotten Nordic lores.

I strongly oppose anyone believing it is cliché, as Askrinn totally transcends this concept. I am using Old Norse lyrics and referring to ancient knowledge. I am not evoking Vikingarnir (the Vikings) as if they were only warriors, as this is a wrong belief. Askrinn is in essence not a cliché.

Moreover, I strongly oppose any belief that Askrinn would somehow be connected to Satanism in any of its forms."
