 "Rome, Italy. A strong music devotion and sheer passion towards a raw, straight and sick sound, push the needs of Andrea “Corpse” Cipolla (mastermind behind Corpsefucking Art and Despise The Sun Records) and Antonio Poletti (previously guitarist in Novembre and Ghouls) to create a death metal band that would have enough ingredients to let this music style smell of ancient feeling again. Soon Mirko “Offender” Scarpa (vocalist in VII Arcano) joins for the growling duties.
While putting together ideas for songs, the band decides to get baptized as MORBO, as the word itself perfectly fits in the shape of this newborn old school death metal thirsty creature. Autopsy, Abscess, Possessed, Master, Death, Rigor Mortis, Entombed, Repulsion, Sadistic Intent, Massacre, H.P. Lovecraft, L. Fulci, J. Buttgereit, real life and myths, abnormalities, religion’s cancerous ways, oppression, subconscious, iconoclasm, obsession, frustration, subliminal horrors, society, depravity and decadence are the main factors that lead MORBO in writing music.
Soon the line-up would be completed with Giorgio (BS) and David (DR) as rhythmic session and respectively already guitarist and drummer in south Italy promising death metal combos HAEMOPHAGUS and UNDEAD CREEP. One year after its original conception, MORBO is ready to record the 1st 3 tracks promo entitled “ETERNAL CITY OF THE DEAD” in different studio sessions, featuring the songs “Horrorday Awakening”, “Into The Guts Of A Rotten Planet” and “Destined To Walk The Path Of Desecration”."

"In 1991 , there existed an evil group of subversive youth, whose sole purpose was to show others about the beauty of death. As time passed, they discovered that music was the best form of expressing the evil that they had learned. ..These youth became what the leaders of the underground know to be MORTAL FUNGUS. They recorded two infamous demo-tapes, before disbanding in 1994 and reforming four years later, with a different line-up, for the classic 6-songs cassette "Frightening countries", re-released on CD in 2003. Mortal Fungus were put on hiatus several times during the years, but they never really disbanded. Their latest CD, "Back to the lombrosary", has been released in mid 2008"

BIOGRAPHY

+ 2001 + FORTIIS comes to life from Caos and Shudde, that begin their inspiration by composing three songs, recorded fastly in an underground demo-tape. This demo was recorded with a four tracks recorder; the band choose a dirty sound cause spontaneousness is the most important feature of Fortiis. It was recorded just to pay honour to Nature and to the Immortal Gods who created it, and to encourage a very old and forgotten way of life. Black Metal was the sole music style with which they could express this concept.

+ 2002 + Fortiis sign a deal with the italian label Svarte Troner Productions which, definitively on December 2002, remasters and distributes the first Fortiis demo-tape all above the european underground black metal scene.

+ 2003 + The band records a self-producted demo-cd with 6 new tracks; that ones sound very similar to the songs of the first demo-tape, but there are also some doom and black-n'roll influences.

+ 2004 + Comes out the third self-producted release on tape format: X-Seke. This release is something very different from all material composed before.
